Through the motorhome window
Not much further down the road we have found ourselves on another campsite. Wild camping is illegal in Slovenia and so we have been very careful to stay on recognised sites. Last night we used a place that was advertised in a camping app (at a charge of 15euros/24 hours) when the international cyclists began to leave. We spoke to some German and Slovenian girls and an English chap and they told us that although the facilities were limited and basic, it was a good place to stay. About 8 other vans arrived later in the evening and at 9.30pm the police turfed us all off! "No sleeping"! It was dark as we drove down the road, through the village with no road surface for about a mile, having previously enjoyed a bottle of wine between us, and without clue of where we were going to stop!!!! Scary. About 7 miles further on we spotted a well lit camping sign and drove in. It was all in darkness and then a delightful, friendly lady came to welcome us and showed us to our resting place. These pictures are of the view this morning. Rested up and caught up on the washing, we are heading for the city tomorrow so there will be some different pictures for a day or two (hopefully). The weather forecast isn't good for the next few days but it has been incredibly good so far. I wonder what more "adventure" lies in store?
