Clydesdale in Harness

As always I enjoyed my annual visit to the Fife Vintage Agricultural Machinery Club rally . The theme this year was Sheep Neeps and other Forage Crops Tractor Anniversaries so the implements on display were relevant to these crops particularly Neeps (Turnips).

I took many tractor photos having driven several of them as I grew up on the farm but did love seeing the horses from an era slightly before my time.
One of the extras shows a Clydesdale pulling a beautifully restored cart used to slice up the neeps for sheep and cattle in the fields - a demonstration of the cart working was worth seeing.

A sheep sheering demonstration was popular as another extra shows using both the old hand clippers as in the photo and the machine clippers used nowadays.
