I did the revalidation of my water safety safety certificate today with the wonderful Jacqui at Waterwise. J is from the West Country and her choice of word to describe the southern end of Coniston today was both perfect and provided a blip title.
The throwing and shore rescues are easy, but then it was a 30m tow of first a conscious and then unconscious casualty. As that's the edge of my personal comfort zone it kinda defines skills that need to be practiced. The time in the pool has clearly paid off as passed with flying colours.

A good friend sent me this. I don't know if it's because of my love of Northern Soul, the Blues & Americana or whether it's a simple commentary on my overall childlike approach to life.
