I have arrived!

My ferry was at lunchtime and there was still quite thick fog so there were no views on the journey. It was very calm and an easy crossing.

I drove straight from Stornoway to Timsgarry. The countryside as you leave the town is boring. There are loads of telegraph poles and rather uninspiring moorland. But then you start to see little lochs and then suddenly the white sands beyond Baile na Cille.

I’m here and it’s wonderful. I also have a new friend. meet Hayley Bop. She and I went for a walk on the beech this evening. I had to throw a plastic disc for HB so I was quite tired by the end.

The forecast is good for the next week too.
