Clouds

We took Raf to Bowhill for a proper walk this morning, because TM said it was going to rain later.

No memory card in the camera - luckily I noticed before we set off, so didn't lug it around.  Phone to the rescue.

We did the circuit called the Lady Walk, along an estate road under the Three Brethren (that's it in the picture), up to the ruins of Newark Tower. 

There we annoyed a bird - a peregrine falcon, I think - which must have been nesting up there, it circled around and screamed at us until we moved off.  You can just see it in the extra. 

You can also see the dark clouds sweeping in. We got back to Bowhill in time to have lunch in the courtyard, and the first drops were falling as we reached the car. 

We've had another afternoon of thunderstorms and lots of lovely wet rain, just what the garden needed. It would be nice if it stopped now.
