#WalkIt Swansea on Big D

Big D day but that wasn’t the main event today.  No sirree!

Today was all about WalkIt Swansea, the Crohn’s and Colitis UK charity walk I help organise.  It was the fourth year of the event, the third year run by the charity.  We started with approximately 50 people, this year we had 300 people sign up by Thursday the last online registration day and we had approximately 40 people sign up on the day.  Chuffed with that! 


Opening the walk this year was Lloyd Macey from X-Factor, who suffers from IBD.  All the ladies were keen to have their photograph taken with him.  We’d moved the venue this year as well, it gave us more space for the event village plus car parking.  So, this year we were able to have a proper band, bouncy slide and two food/drinks vans.

Everything went according to plan, and the weather was stunning.

I saw the walk go off at 10:30am, but then had to leave to go to Big D.

Had severe cramp towards the end of the session, which is extremely painful.

Two days off now and I’m going to chill.
