The day the sun came back

After the relative gloom of the last few days, the weather's been just wonderful.  I caught this blip on the High Street this morning where the sun is now high enough to hit the paving stones - on one side of the street at least.  Most of the year we stay in shadow. 

Everyone seemed to be enjoying the heat, though I must say by the time I'd got home and cut the grass, I was melting.  However, a quiet afternoon's sorted that and it's still so lovely I feel half tempted later to hand the kitchen to the young and go for a wander in the fields.  Maybe!
