Romantic Castle

I used up another of the days leave carried over from last year by taking a relaxing trip back home after the weekend with Mum.

I ended up at the National Trust's Scotney Castle - a property of 2 halves: a "new" house built in the early 19th century to replace a 14th century moated castle.  The castle was "ruined" to create a folly as the center piece of its gardens.
