it's big new world

Our blue tits have fledged !!
Yesterday 2 left the bird box, this morning 2 more had left and some time later today the last small one was gone. First thing this morning this little thing was on the lawn looking rather scared and trying without success to fly. The parents were tending to him and to the 1 left in the box (who was going just crazy for attention in the nest on his own). Its a big world and during these next hours the little ones are at the most vulnerable. I spent as long as I could in the garden but unfortunately that awkward thing called work was calling for me. Lesley was also out all day and on return this evening we saw glimpses of the adults going towards next door feeding so hopefully at least one has survived.
