Shropshire for ever

Today I was supposed to be doing chores but the lure of outdoors was too strong. Ignoring the (consistently incorrect) BBC weather reports we headed out through Wagbeach (my fave Shropshire name) and the Hope Valley to walk around Bromlow Callow - that little ring of forest that hovers above the Stiperstones. It was ace and full of the normal audible 'wow's. I hope I never tire of Shropshire. Stopped for a picnic lunch on Rorrington Hill and there was no noise apart from birds and sheep and glorious views over Shropshire and Powys. Not another soul in sight.

Stopped for the obligatory pint of Shropshire Gold and then popped in to Graham and Julie's to say hi and take in their views.

Better than chores.
