Piwakawaka

or fantail one of our small native birds.  I walked up the hill again hoping to have the company of these wee birds.  It wasn't until I turned to come down that I came upon a pair flitting about.  They like to follow walkers and see if any insects are disturbed.  It would flit down low and then perch in a tree so I could get some clear shots.  I had a hard time choosing but have gone for this one because the eye is looking out towards the camera.  The extra  is the book about pottery that I made for my sister.  Pottery Book The word pataka means storehouse and is the name of the pottery where my sister lives.  It is exciting when a Blurb book arrives.  I wanted to see it first and posted it off to her yesterday.
