WWII Memorabilia

Just clearing out a cupboard and came across this Certificate of Membership of the Home Guard in WWII.

It belonged my father-in-law, who had a farming and butcher's business in Wensleydale, and on top of that was active in the Home Guard whilst in his early 20s.

We are just thankful we have lived through relatively peaceful times.
