Thrashed
I would have liked to have posted one of the photos of my son's Bank Holiday weekend outing to France with his mountain bike mates somewhere to the west of Le Mans and in the Normandie-Maine Regional National Park.
Apparently a very beautiful area and from just a few of the photos and videos that didn't contain items of laundry or glasses of beer they seemed to have had great weather and fun. However, none would pass the Blip censor.
I guess it was a miracle they were let in as the park is a "protected area" and a dozen British males out for a weekend seems pretty threatening. Not sure if they will be able to repeat this annual event in 2019 unless an exemption is agreed to as part of the "transition period" but at least post-March 2019, Mr Gove will be designating lots of National Parks in the UK that they can then use. Richmond Park has a cafe, I think.
The number of daily Brexit notifications from www.gov.uk is stepping up, one more nonsensical than the next and showing day for day the massive costs that are building up. The press is making a field day of Italy, yet again praying that another country will join the EU-Exit faction. They hoped with Italy a year or two ago and that failed, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Austria, France, Portugal......... Italy has always been a basket case when it comes to politics - the next government will be the 65th since 1946.
Blip was meant to show the hail damage from a few days ago. Not to easy to see in the photo unless you know what to look for. However, lots of the lower leaves are torn to pieces and higher up one sees some of the areas that were flooded and pancaked. I suspect the maize will not suffer unduly - sadly! I hate the stuff, at least that used as cow feed and for bio-gas. It's planting only harms the environment in all senses. The human food version is often not better when used for things like isoglucose sweetener.
