Bee on a Bee Orchid!
This was an unexpected extra dimension to the photo I was going to publish of Ophrys apifera, the bee orchid. I was hobbling around the garden having knocked a brick on my bare foot this morning (don't ask, I seem to be accident prone doing the simplest of things) when I spotted 3 stems of this relatively rare plant. I had just focused on the flower and this bee photobombed the shot. I have since read that the orchids produce a scent like a female bee as well as looking a bit like one. A one photo day, that's rare!
Thanks to Riwaka for hosting TT. I actually managed a macro on a Tuesday and the "petals" of the Bee Orchid are furry and soft which fits the theme.
