Cruising

Another glorious day here, wall to wall sunshine, 26 degrees!!

After a good nights sleep, we were up (not with the lark mind ;-), had breakfast then decided it was too nice to stay home, a walk was in order. We headed to Pennington Flash..........big mistake, it was absolutely rammed, queueing for a parking space! We did an about turn and went to the car park alongside the canal instead.

We had a lovely couple of hours, lots of activity, walkers, cyclists, boaters......dogs, birds, fish, you name it, we saw it! Took lots of shots but liked this one as it summed up our walk :-)

By the time we got back to the car we had clocked up 11,000+ steps.......and were feeling rather hungry. We thought about going for lunch at a local pub but decided against it, as no doubt it would be extremely busy there too.

Once we got back home, we decided to spend the afternoon in the garden, just sitting and enjoying it for a change........and we did, for a good few hours. We did seek some shade now and again, it was so warm! Our sun tans from Cape Verde have still not faded ;-)))

Its now nearly 11pm and we have only just managed to shut the patio doors, they had swelled so much with the sun, its took until now for them to cool down enough to close them :-/

Hub has had the hosepipe out on the garden this evening......despite the rain last night, it really didnt dampen the soil at all, unlike the deluges suffered in the Midlands :-(

A dry week is forecast here again, although a touch cooller.
