The body brace....

Dear Gail has to ease herself into wearing this back and neck support. It's like a solid straight jacket. It's very hot and uncomfortable as it rises up her chin as she tries to sit down and as she eats. It means though, that she isn't confined to bed and will be part of her treatment and, together with chemotherapy, it is hoped her spine and neck will be strengthened. 

Never have I heard her complain. Today we went for blood tests and it's been a hot day. This brace is worn over her clothes. It's made of fibreglass.  Today, she was glad to be back home after the tests and could take it off briefly.
