Common blue

I think getting up amazingly early has taken it's toll on me and the last few days I have been extremely tired, resulting in my going to bed before I had time to blip!! so this is a back blip I am afraid :-(
Early this evening I went for a quick trip to my local country park to look for damsel flies, which I found, but I also found several of these male Common blues Polyommatus icarus, roosting in the long grasses and just begging to be my blip!
There were other things in the long grasses too including this rather lovely Bishop's mitre shield bug Aelia acuminata which is fairly common around the south and one of my favorite shield bugs - I have added a shot in extras.
