Sgurr na Dheiragain
The picture* shows the view along the ridge to Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan from the top of our Munro for today, Mullach na Dheiragain (982m). Our top is probably one of the most remote. According to the BMC lists, it is the least popular Munro of all! The Sgurr is more easily reached from Glen Affric. We climbed it last year in terrible weather and this is the first time we have seen it, but it is just too far fro us to complete the circuit.
Our route for today, takes a dive off the steep grassy slopes to the left of the ridge, to get us down to the valley bottom and back to Loch Mullardoch, where we have the pleasure of meeting with Angus the magic ferryman of Mullardoch for the easy way back along the loch.
* It is funny. An obvious but not so well known fact, is that the best views of mountains are not from the specific mountains themselves, but from their neighbouring peaks and crests. So the only picture of the mountain we climbed today was from the end of the loch itself (see extra).
