Under the A720 / Straiton

Not since the days of Marco Pantani has there been such excitement in cycling. So it was I found myself 80.2km from home and I thought 'fuck it, have a go'. So I did. A quick burst of speed to distance myself from the others (Youtz resplendant in pink) and I was off up the gravel roads and soon making inroads into the defecit. 2 hours later I was the virtual leader on the road and pulling away over the horizon; the Dutch maestro floundering in my wake. With no real let up, I forged ahead, eventually taking the prize shortly after 1000.
