Cigs

In a week of waiting and still waiting... The Binos travelled north to Balmoor heartened by a stirring 2nd half performance against the Blue Toon but alas, Smith (not Jones) missed a chance in the 58th minute of the 2nd leg and by the hour mark the gap between the two teams had increased and so the 3 year wait continues for a return to the top flight of the middle of the bottom end of Scottish football.

Similarly, Cigs FC - despite a promising start to season 17/18, fell away badly with a poor run towards the end of the season proving their undoing. Whilst keeping it tight at the back, a proven striker in fine form was needed in the winter break and it just didn't happen. A couple of Youtz players came in from local rivals but they lacked experience; Tel failed to live up to his hype, and Alligator got snapped up by another team.
So it was I found myself on the hunt for beetroot, yoghurt and chicory (you've not seen that episode of Ready, Steady, Cook! have you?); shorts and sunglasses on ahead of the expected downpour and as I swept into Morrison's car park behind a silver transit van stuffed with buiders, my gaze was instantly drawn to the Mercedes campervan tucked away under cover on the left.

Although thoughts of beetroot and ginger souffle were gone; the flambe chicory pate was banished from my mind and in a trance I was drawn in.

Of all the gin joints....

Previously seen in Shandon and George Street. But never in EH5. Now, who knows where the Seat Cigsvan is...?
