MV Isle of Arran, Campbeltown Loch, 7.35am
15.6C (Campbeltown airport, but the 18.5C at Islay airport seems more like the way it felt this afternoon) with sunny sunshine all day long. Light NNW/NW/W breeze.
When Apothecary7 and I were walking Fergus after 11pm last night we noticed the ferry was docked. The service has started a month late this year. Not good. This morning Fergus and I went across the park to Dalintober to get a shot of her leaving at 7.35am.
After lunch Fergus and I went for a walk out to the old shipyard and wandered out the shore path almost to Macringan's Point. On the way back we were passed by several fishing boats crossing the loch to the harbour. Fergus was getting noticeably hot on the way back and he was walking quite slowly by the time we got back to town. It didn't curb his enthusiasm for his 'dental stick' treat in the least. He had to have that before he had a cold drink. He has found himself a cool place for his afternoon snooze.
On the Clip while walking:
2 episodes of BBC radio 3's Arts and Ideas podcast.
Japan and Nature (which didn't describe their topic well at all ... disappointing)
Designing the Future (also I thought a bit off topic in the it covered three designers from the past mainly)
1 episode of BBC radio 4's Word of Mouth podcast, with the excellent Michael Rosen in the chair.
Slang
Afternoon music ... Big Country, The Seer. The Crossing.
