Getting ready

I found my mom napping this afternoon. As soon as she noticed me she sat up, glassy eyed, and asked, "Wanna take a walk?" Yes. A strange new line has crept in, too. Twice she has said to me, "I want to get rid of that dog. She barks nonstop." Popcorn?!  Once we got out on our walk, however, everything was fine.
