Spoilt for Choice

On another bright day and with several many lovely things in flower in the garden, it's been a hard choice tonight.  The choice is this Iris innominata which has not featured in the past.  A dwarf rhizomatous species, just afew inches high, it's native to North America.  Here it's settled in well in the west facing, semi-shaded border.

I've added a couple of extras, Ramonda myconi which I saw in the Pyrenees twenty years ago and Campanula thyrsoides an old friend from the Alps.

Morning energy saw me catching up on housework, neglected due to other priorities in the last week or so.  An afternoon trip to the city with mum and Jamie was fruitful and we had a long video chat with Ruth over our evening meal which was lovely :-)
