Market sheep
We went for an Indian last night and it was excellent, the chef was Bradford so it was nice and spicy with more of a taste we're used to in the UK the Kingfisher beer tasted the same too :-)
While chatting with him he told us of a flea market on the other side of town which won't be in any of the guide books, he gave us the location so this morning we were out early for a visit. You have to get there early before 8 ideally, we got there for about that. He'd also warned me not to take my camera as it would be frowned upon to put it mildly.
In the early 90's I found myself at the Bakaara market were the main items that were on sale seemed to be the AK47 and the occasional RPG.
Today's market wasn't that bad but it had table after table of communist/nazi merchandise with the occasional table full of Rolex's :-)
The markets all holders were wary until they realised you weren't the authorities and the were happy to show off their wares and grab your money. I resisted buying anything this visit apart from the small handmade sheep in the picture, I liked him and he reminds me of home :-)
Next time I return I may buy some of the WWII merchandise on offer I need to do some research first though.
Out later as soon as the boys finish watching Cardiff v Bolton, I hope you're all enjoying the weekend :-)
