What are these strange creatures?

Last night after 2 Weissbier at the Little Creek Reiterstammtisch I managed to forget several items including my camera so today Angie rode over to collect them. It was a lovely relatively warm 15°C day. I should have ridden too but was still suffering from the beer!
The house in the background is owned by a couple, at least one of whom is also English! They have a Land Rover & Ifor Williams Trailer. Haven't met them yet, just waved from a distance. It's getting to be an English enclave in the area.
