3000 Blips!

Good morning.......

......a glorious morning it was, the sunrise delivered - it was amazing!!

There's always a feeling of what will we see this morning, it's a surprise. There is no driving to the beach and there is the sea, no, no it's park in the car park where pine trees stand tall and rugged, tramp through the estuary, walk along a narrow path with tussock over lapping it, over the sand dunes down into a hollow and then the last tramp up and over to the beach, it is on this last heave that we begin to see the horizon and then at the top the sea and beach are revealed. This morning blipper and friend mpp26 and I stood and gasped at what was before our eyes.

The colours were divine, a mix of hot reds and pink along the horizon and over a lovely deep topaz sea, thick grey cloud hovered to the north while strong soft wavy clouds were to the south as lights flickered in the distance. The sea was a little choppy as a strong cold wind blew, reflections were breath-taking as an incoming tide washed them away and the sand swept along the beach as if it was running late for a very important date.

We were surprised and disappointed as there were very few birds about, a few gulls, terns to far away to capture, mallards were flighty in the distance, a shag or two fishing but like everything else miles away, just wasn't the right morning for birds.

But it was a wonderful morning for a celebration and I was delighted mpp26 could join me to celebrate 3000 blips with me, thanks M :) This one always catches me out, it comes round far to quickly after the last blip birthday. Warm thanks to you all for stopping by, leaving a word or two, some friendly advice and lots of support, it is always appreciated :)

Looking forward to returning tomorrow as my journey continues......

Happy Tuesday everyone :)
