Red Alert!

About a couple of months ago we were dismayed to see one of the visiting Red Squirrels showing signs of the dreaded Squirrel pox.  We reported this immediately and the Ranger's advice was take down the feeder, sterilise it and don't start feeding again for a month.  Well the month was up soon after we went on holiday so it was nearer two months before we started feeding again.  The other day we saw one in the trees but this morning was the first we have seen at the feeder.  Thankfully it looks to be perfectly healthy.

The afternoon was taken up by my visiting Kanyl to do a quick job.  We then decided to visit a local garden centre, which was where we were when Clickychick rang to suggest a quick trip to one of the Carlisle garden centres, as much for the car wash as the garden centre it seemed.
