Yellowhammer
I went on a terrific walk from home today. My intention had been to pick up nine new geocaches on the local roads but I was enjoying myself so much that I continued my walk and found another four.
Having finishing the caches and reached Tarvin several miles away I improvised a route home over the fields to Ashton and back to Kelsall. In the end I walked 8.5 miles which was a lot more than I intended when I originally left the house.
As a bonus I spotted a pair of yellowhammers which made the choice of a blip very easy. I have never been able to photograph one of these before. The main is the male and the extra the female with a caterpillar.
