Music In The Park

It was the quissential Sunday afternoon of music in the park . . . a brass band playing in glorious sunshine at a market town’s bandstand and providing musical entertainment for an appreciative Sunday audience.
The band — the New Forest Brass a widely recognised - brass band based in Applemore, near Southampton and taking over the town’s bandstand at the Romsey Memorial Park. `
The. band plays in concerts and at events around the local area and also competes in banding contests, and judging by its performance on the Romsey bandstand no one could have been more pleased than families and Sunday walkers visiting the park.
Many like me could not resist pausing a while, maybe with a cool drink or ice cream and simply enjoying music in the park.
