Brief sunshine between the rain

It has rained for most of the day with strong winds howling around.

We decided to go for a drive around the west of the island. It’s very beautiful with a rocky coastline so we spent time scanning for wildlife. We saw sea birds and three seals playing together in the water.

There were some breaks between the showers late this afternoon so we did manage a walk along the coastal footpath from Sannox. I loved the contrast between the stormy sky and the gorse which looked beautiful as we walked.
