Cast your net

This (Aboriginal?) Native Australian fellah (as another spectator called him) was using a traditional method of catching fish by flinging a stone weighted circular net into the bay and allowing it to sink. When he dragged it back in it closed up and on each occasion he caught a couple of meal sized fish. The rest were returned to the sea.

Further along the harbour amongst the big dive boats was a ferry ship called Torres Star. Some may see the connection.
