A Right Royal day!
A glorious day.
The garden tulips and the village tulips were all looking fabulous.
We set off down to Bingley where they were having a canal festival. We didn't have time to go along to the main festivities between the 3 and 5 rise locks ut took in the ambience in the Market Square where there were lots of stalls. Later our Community choir were going to be singing but today we were heading elsewhere.
We did momentarily pop into the Arts Centre and they were showing the wedding on a screen. I just got Megan as she entered the chapel and walked down the aisle!
Down at the station they were working on a new garden to brighten it up. All voluntary so good for them.
We then took the train to Leeds to meet my friend L and her daughter, K to celebrate L's birthday on this auspicious day. We went to see 'Sunshine on Lieth'. Fabulous especially if you are a Procalimers fan like us.
Then we had a Prosecco or two in Brown's and met up with K's partner to go for a meal. All the lovely sunshine gave both Bingley and Leeds a fun party atmosphere.
Perfect for celebrations
Home to see daughter Grace and husband John just back from Scotland, Eda had just been put to bed so that will have to wait till morning.
What a splendid day!
(I will put a Flickr link on tomorrow for the rest of our Scottish holiday)
