Balmoral

A beautiful day if a little warm for Orienteering. Today was the British Long Distance Championships at Balmoral Castle. What a treat to have an assembly next to the Queens summer residence.

My course was physically tough with two long legs with diverse route choices. Really enjoyed my run today and delighted to be 10th 10 minutes down on the winner. Sunlit forest and lots to tax both both mentally and physically. Glad the knee stood up too.

Afterwards we drove to the Muir of Dinnet a delightful nature reserve for a gentle recovery walk. Now to try and raise my game for the relays tomorrow.
