Tractor Tuesday on a Wednesday!
I had hoped that this would have been my blip for yesterday but our latest member of the Tbay fleet did not arrive until first thing this morning. She or maybe he (?) has travelled for Yorkshire to join the team and was much needed as our old loader tractor, and incidentally Mr Tbay Jnrs first tractor , was 16 years old and not really man enough for the current regime. So fingers crossed that this pretty little number will do us well. Raymond took it out drilling and had positive things to say so all is good!
Farming - apart from the obvious above, manic situation continues. Today’s silage customer put us off as the weather indicated it may rain. As it happened it hasn’t! So this meant that we should have been arriving at another different customer tomorrow who has now been shunted to Friday. He was NOT a happy customer and in the end Mr Tbay Jnr went and had a long chat with him. All is well now but difficult times are still ahead as Country Haylage have cut large amounts of grass which we will somehow have to deal with. The problem there was they didn’t communicate with Mr Tay Jnr so this took us by surprise! Two were on Compost hauling, Raymond on the Maize drill and another out silaging for another customer. Only one breakage yesterday and that was on the hay bob. More times needed at short notice so Mrs Tbay to the rescue!
This afternoon Mrs Tbay Jnr , myself and the children headed to the shopping outlet at Shepton Mallet. Not a place I often frequent, but for my 60 birthday the family all pitched in and bought me a Mulberry handbag! The ladies who read this will know how special this is and to be honest the men would not like this shop at all based on the full priced items! I liked my surprise bag but they wanted me to be sure so I had a gift receipt in case I wanted a different item. Kid in a candy shop sort of place for us girls! Lovely bags, and I did exchange mine but only for a different colour not a different bag. Please see my extra which is little Miss selecting her fav bag! !
We also found a fabulous dress for Mrs Tbay Jnr for Ascot at one of the other outlet shops. She looks so amazing in it! Great days shopping but won’t be heading this way for quite a while yet! Or until my credit card recovers!! Hey ho!
PS. Pip and Lula had another scrap. Pip now lame again. Arghhhh! They are now in separate houses. :-(
