Day 5

Well here we are day 5 and still no power, heating etc.
Apologies for not replying to anyone at the moment as I need to conserve the batteries so that I can post a blip from the iPhone.
This is Kurt and Janice from Schooley's Mountain Fire and Rescue Squad where we are able to get fresh water. They also have cots and food for those who need a place to sleep.
Our road is still blocked and the power cables are spread all over the place like giant tentacles.
The house is starting to get cold and the freezer is defrosting. There's only do much ice cream you can eat for breakfast.
Most of the local towns have at least some power now and my local Gym got power this morning so I was able to have a shower today
at the gym !!!!
Things are slowly starting to move but as of 7.00am today there are still over 2 million homes in New Jersey without power.
Breakfast lunch and dinner is dictated by whatever is defrosting the fastest!!
