An early walk at Rydal before the sun had risen over the hills. The main photo was taken about half an hour after the one in extras. It was difficult to choose which to post. 

Nice to see wild flowers ........ Bluebells, Wild Garlic and Stitchwort in the woods, Cuckoo Flower and Marsh Marigold by the lake. Heard a cuckoo too above the sounds of the Canada Geese. 


A close encounter with a cyclist on the way to Windermere in the afternoon has made me think about getting a dash cam. I'd pulled out and was accelerating to overtake when he suddenly, without any indication, crossed in front of me to join the cycle path on the opposite side of the road.  He was lucky that my reactions were good. Looks like the Lake District silly season has started again.
