The Isle of Man Beekeepers have established a new teaching apiary.  To my surprise I found myself doing the demonstration today with the hives that have newly been set up at the new site.

There were a dozen novice beekeepers present.  We had the experience of dealing with the first swarm of the year.  We got the swarm in to a new hive and we will see how it gets on!

Having said that however I returned home in rather a panic wondering whether my own hives would be swarming.  An inspection of my hives has been scheduled for tomorrow now that the weather is showing signs of improvement!
