Bank holiday bliss

We had a wonderful afternoon today. The sun was shining, it was warm, it felt fantastic to have no school run. We met granny and grandad for a carvery lunch before we all headed to the country park for an explore. Katie had fancied finding the lake to play in but we arrived to find it was flooded and not possible. However she then had a very happy couple of hours of scrambling and climbing. Trees, rocks, banks, roots.... it was glorious! She obliged with a few photos when I came across the most beautiful cherry blossom that was dropping in a sea of gorgeous pink.

Hot chocolate followed our exploring before we headed to dance. She was pleased to come out with the second part of her commercial costume for the show!

I wish all Mondays could be sunshine, peace and no school.
