Irises

I'd better blip these again as they'll be over before too long. Iris Black Knight with a background of euphorbia characias. There isn't enough depth of field to get all three irises sharp, so I went for the back two. At the moment we're in the middle of bulb foliage dying down and everything looks a bit of a mess, but eventually the summer flowers will start to make an appearance and the new growth will smother most of the untidiness. For now I'm trying to inhibit perennial weeds before they run away with themselves, in the hope that they can be kept at bay for most of the season.
