Alliums

The alliums are starting to flower, which will be good for the bees. They'll be focusing on not much else while it lasts, although they could do with it being a little warmer I think. Purple alliums seem to do better than white here, though I'm not sure why. Perhaps just because we added some more purple a couple of years ago, so there are naturally more of them. Best of all are the Allium Christophii, the giant ones that look like something from a 1960s space adventure film. They're still gathering their resources for their annual grand entrance, in a week or two.
