Aunty Evelyn

Not really my aunt, but I always call her that.  Evelyn has been a good friend for almost twenty years, and was among the first to welcome us when we moved here.  She is rightly famed for her cooking, and used to invite us for teas that had a bewildering selection of food, especially cakes, and as a way of introducing us to new friends.  All that is rather more effort than she can manage now, but we still go round for an occasional chat to keep in touch.

She needed a lift to a wedding today - her second this month - so whilst she was in her finery I asked if I could take a photo for my journal.
