Water, Give Me Water
It was good to return to my backyard and my little winged friends. Every day that I was incapacitated I felt guilty. I knew I had hung one fresh nectar feeder the day before I was brought to the hospital but with temperatures at or above 100°/38° I knew the bowls would be dead dry and the nectar no longer healthy. It took all of two minutes for my pals to rediscover their watering holes. One of these days I'm going to catch a cardinal nipping at the oranges. I've seen it several times now. Nice thing is that the Hooded orioles have returned to the yard. I'm very happy about that. It was a decent first full day home.
