The Grand Canal

The very last shot I took during our Venice trip - just an hour before our water taxi was due to take us to the airport -  I was determined to be organised and so everything had been got ready the night before.  This was taken from the Rialto Bridge, looking away from Piazza San Marco -  looking back towards the piazza there would have been evidence of building works and cranes in the shot.  The extra was blipped on my way back to the hotel.

We're back home now after very easy journey and as ever it's good to be home, although we couldn't have had a better holiday. Many thanks for the wonderful comments, hearts and stars that have been left for my Venice blips; the response has been amazing and I can only say I've been really touched by your generosity.  I hope to catch up with your journals over the weekend.
