Parade Gardens

Another beautiful day :)  Mum and I checked out of the hotel late morning and went for a little wander round Bath.  We nipped into Waitrose to get some cash out, and ended up looking round their homewares section for a while - it was lovely and cool in there!  We bought ourselves a couple of cans of cold drink and then paid to go into the pretty Parade Gardens, where we sat by the river to drink them.  Had a wee wander around afterwards, including through these pillars and archways, then headed back to the hotel and the car.

We drove back to Wells via some woods my sister had recommended for bluebell spotting.  It was a good recommendation, as not only were the bluebells - and wild garlic - out in full force, the path was pretty reasonable for Mum's wheelchair.  It was so lovely in there - cool and beautiful - and we took our time slowly ambling through.

Headed back to Mum's after that, picking up a couple of ice creams on the way.  We sat outside again to eat our dinner - then a little later, when Mum headed up to bed, I drove down to my sister's and sat out in the garden with her and her family until my own bedtime.  Had a really lovely evening chatting away :)
