Dead Air

I went in early this morning to sort out that dead power supply. It was simple, well it would have been had one of the cells not burst covering the inside with suspect looking goo. A bit of bashing it with a screwdriver and I managed to get it all out. Luckily there was no lasting damage and it’s all working again.

After a long day at work I came back and fixed the dead MacBook Air. If you look carefully you can see on bit of the battery has swollen up like a pillow. This is not good! It was so swollen it has bent the metal case of the laptop.

Luckily its a known fault and remarkably easy to fix if you happen to have a set of special ‘ we are Apple so you need a special screwdriver ‘ screwdrivers ;)
