A Coin
from the former Jugoslavija.
It was given to me back in 1998-1999 time.
It's been in my wallet ever since. It's my constant companion.
The coin commemorates the founding of the Federated Socialist Republic of Jugoslavija in the city of Jajce in 1943.
Jajce is in Bosnia and Herzegovina and just an hour or so drive South from where I live.
On the obverse is the bust of Josip Broz (Tito).
Today the coin has no value, or I assume no value, but for me it's a fragment of living history.
