Morning Stretch

Prettier plumage in Large.

It was hard to top the fun we had with the horses yesterday, but we wanted to try another morning  photo outing together.  So my parents and I went back out to MSU and found a popular spot for ducks on the river.  Families showed up to feed the mallards, so we had little models immediately after the first bag of food came out.  The children sure do enjoy the frenzy crated by tossing the mallards some bread.  The kids were almost as fun to watch as the ducks were.  

The lighting was a little tough, without climbing right into the river.  And since none of us was willing to get wet, we made the best of it.  Eventually, I gave up on the ducks and found a chubby squirrel (extras) in decent light.  Hard to choose...
