Training Day

We went out to Michigan State University to see the foals this morning... And we weren't disappointed.  We got there at just the right time for good morning light, active horses and extreme cuteness!  There were 11 mom and foal pairs and I couldn't get enough.  The moms were training and exercising their babies in big loops around the paddocks.  Often times the mom felt the need to protect their foal from the others, so it got to be quite entertaining. :)  

This seemed to be pretty good timing for a horse related blip, as today is Kentucky Derby day (one of the big horse races).  Who knows, maybe we saw a future racer in training today. ;-)
