Can't Wait for August!

I keep my eye on craigslist ... specifically the farm and garden section, relatively frequently. I noticed last week that a blueberry farm was going out of business (retiring) and they had mature, 4-6 ft bushes for sale at $40 each. Welp, if you have ever bought a blueberry bush you know they are not cheap! I've bought teeny, tiny ones for $30. So by Friday I decided to ask Mr. Badger what he thought. Since blueberries are one of his favorite fruits he didn't even hesitate saying yes :D I imagined we'd be able to fit 4-5 bushes in our full size truck, and was adamant I wanted 10! Mr. Badger left early in the morning to go to Free Comic Book Day and then he was going to do the first pick up at the farm. These things are monstrous! Only 2 would fit in the truck bed at a time, so we quickly decided that 2 trips was enough (for now!). After a lot of effort we got them all into place and had enough energy to get one planted.
