Clinging and climbing
We didnt sleep brilliantly last night, a bit warm I think!
Once we were up we had a walk, collected the newspapers, then sat in the garden with a cuppa and read them :-)
We had dippy eggs and toast for lunch and then set about finishing off triming the last third of the Thuja......we needed our longest ladder and the extended clippers, to just about reach the very top. It looks pretty good now, albeit our green bin is brimming!!
We discovered today why we havnt had any blue tits nesting in our box this year, the bees have moved in :-/ or should I say they had, hubs sorted that out!
We have been outside virtually all day, with our sunscreen on...our colour is topping up! Hub has cut both lawns, Ive been weeding and dead heading the daffies and muscaris.....tying in the climbing roses, and clematis. When I noticed the flowers had opened on this one!
This clematis has grown from a cutting that I got from hubs sis, probably 12/18 months ago. I dont know which variety it is, but its a lovely simple flower and hasfeather like serrated edged leaves. Its looking very healthy and has lots of buds yet to open. It is in a pot on our deck and seems to like it there :-)
We have had grilled steak with onions, minted new potatoes and salad for dinner, very yummy it was too!
Another sunny day in store tomorrow :-))
